Ignorant American Story (Northrup Style)

For the majority of you who dont know who the picture is of above. His name is Andrea Bocelli and his wife. The Blind "Three Tenors". He has an amazing voice if some of of would only stop to appreciate it.

Anywho, My friend Jennifer from work invited us to dinner for her friend Guiseppes birthday in their little town of Fauglia. Long story short we were eating in the same restaurant that is located in a old wine cellar. Guiseppe of corse noticed him but Steve and I were not impressed. Actually Steve told everyone that he would go ask the guy if he would sing Happy Birthday to him. The answer was a mortifying NO.
So then we went outside and the next group that walked by Steve asked them to take our group photo. The group thought we were asking to take their photo and they stopped to pose until Steve handed them OUR camera. We all got a good embarrassing laugh and then Steve took their picture. This is Steve (not drunk) Traci, Jennifer and Guiseppe. Thanks for the great time Jennifer, hope to have many more.

So here is my personal favorite MARIO! Dont ya just want to pinch those cheeks!

We had a Fall Festival here on Post friday afternoon after school. Adults and kids dressed up. We, as in the Northrups like to theme it up as a family. So this year Steve was Luigi, Hayden was Mario, I was Princess Peach and Max (my malte-poo) was Yoshi, the dragon from Video game Mario Brothers.

These are the fellow co-workers that dressed up. Cause of course we get to work this event.
There is Jeff "The WONDER Boy"(he hates wonder bread) Megan the Pirate, Monica Witch #1, Vicki Witch #2, Sahar Which #3, and me Princess Peach with Yoshi.
FAMILY PICTURE. We are already trying to think of what we want to do next year so if any you have any great Ideas that dont involve me sewing send them my way!!! Miss you all. HAPPY FALL!

Garmisch and Munic, Germany

So I went on a little trip to Garmisch Germany in September with a girlfriend from work. Claudia is native German and loved showing off her country. It was a great getaway and so beautiful. Pictures do not do this Country justice. This picture is of a famous clock tower in Munic. Two times a day the chimes would ring and music would play, like a huge coo coo clock.
This was a lake at the bottom of the Mountain range called Zuchspitz. So beautiful! Thanks again Claudia I will miss you tons at work!

San Marino Motorcycle Race Trip

Now that I have a minute to breathe I am going to update the Blog. This is Rico, Steve and Jim getting ready to go to the Motorcycle race in San Marino. We went Labor Day weekend. The wives stayed behind and went shopping.
Illa, Miguel and I in San Marino walking around doing a little shopping
This was at the Cafe' that we ate at a couple of times cause it was just across the street, but they always made our cappuccino's so pretty and this was the morning after the race so Steve needed a picture of his. Typical Tourist!
This is Jim and Jaden Gomez on the way to the race. Jaden was so excited, Hayden was still at Camp Grandma otherwise he would have been on the back of Steves Bike!

Adopt a Camp Counselor Program...

So even though Hayden was in Michigan for the summer Steve and I adopted the Summer Camp Counselors and took them on a few weekend trips. Great girls and we had tons of fun with them where ever we went. We miss you Jessica (Miss Bumblebee)and Kelsey (Miss Ladybug)
Here in Volterra at the clock tower with Jessica, Megan, Ilya, Steve, Me, and Kelsey.
Jessica, Steve, and Kelsey on one of the many staircases in Volterra. The city sits on top of a hill.
As we were walking thru the city we came across these old men just sitting there watching the people walk. Right out of the movies huh? Probably a couple of Dons sitting there. You actually see this a lot all over the cities especially in front of Cafe' bars.

Last but not least, Vegas and Montana???!!!

As I drove back to Idaho I stopped in Montana to see my old friend Adrienne "Andi" whom I have been friends with since 5th grade, living in the same little lakefront neighborhood and watching naughty movies at her house cause my mom wouldn't let me watch "Dirty Dancing".

I was great to catch up and I wish her lots of love and luck on her new adventure and path in life!
Now while i was in Vegas (YES WITHOUT HAYDEN) I got to spend a couple of days with some of my lifelong Military wife friends. Paula and Sonia! Both of their husbands were at one time in the same career field as Steve and that is how we found each other and have just stayed connected.
Look we even got to see Bret Michaels and that Guy from KISS???
Sonia and Paula comparing Ball size. These were actual necklaces they were selling on Freemont street! Had loads of fun girls, lets be sure to do it again. Love you both as always!
