Poo Poo on Italy

So I dont have any pictures to post but I thought I would give a overview as to what has been happening with us while we have been here in Pisa Italy. If you have been some of the few unfortuniate that have been getting my "I hate it here" emails I am sorry and I will try to be more upbeat from now on.
We got to Rome on the 31st of March and had to rent a van to transport Soju up to Italy. We are about 4 hours north of Rome so after the nice long plane ride we drove for another 4 hours. What a mess it was about our visas for Italy and than the dogs not fitting in the cargo space, but I will not go into detail, just to say we made it here on the very last day Steve was supposed to report.
We got checked into a room here at the Casa Toscana, and the dogs went to a Ammo troops wife that watched our dogs until the 20 of this month cause they PCS to Japan. The dogs are now in the kennel here at Darby and it is horrible. I feel bad for tham everytime I have to go feed them and let them out. Max is no longer a white dog and Soju is slowly starting to hate us I think.

We still do not have our housing shipment and no vehicle either so I guess it would do no good for us to have a house yet cause we dont have anything to live with or drive.

Steve has a new job and had to wear his blues today to give a breifing. So that is different for him. He hates wearing his blues, so poke him about it I am sure he would love it.

Hayden started school after their spring break and he likes his teacher Mr. Robinson but he gives a lot more homework than his last teacher so he is working on that issue as you all can imagine.

I am slowly going insane, but reading a lot and books that I thought I would never read. Walking a lot and we have looked at about 15 houses, but none that quite fit the bill.

To be honest if our move had been like this when we went to Okinawa, I would have told Steve no more overseas EVER!!! I am sure it will get better as time goes on but I do have to say the Italians are very rude and they seem to not like americans just as much as we have heard the french dont like americans. Japan was a lot more hospitable and helpful even if they didnt like you they didnt do it strait to your face.

So that is my update so far... are you sure you still want to visit??? ;)

Oh, Trace - I'm sorry life sucks. On the bright side - it can't get much worse, so things are bound to start working out. And thank you for my wonderful card. I love that you were able to reach out with such kindness when you are in the pits of dispair :).

Hi Traci! This is Corinne (J.R.'s wife) J.R. just forwarded your blog address to me and I'm excited to see what's going on with you guys! Hopefully Italy gets better! I guess you just have to look at it as a once in a lifetime experience (from the sounds of it hopefully it's just a once in a lifetime experience, huh!)
Good luck with everything!
