So the family got on a bus and went to Garmisch Germany this last weekend with a bunch of other families from Camp Darby. They called it a marriage retreat (Steve and I called it a free trip) This is the view from our Hotel called EDELWEISS. Yes like in the song from "The sound of music"
We went to a restraunt off post and Steve and Hayden had Schnitzel and I had some sort of German "pasta" with cheese and onions. YUMMY!! Then we walked along the road and a lot of the buildings are painted on like the one behind us. Garmisch is a very touristy/ ski town but fun just the same.
We had a afternoon child free. So the vote was to go have a beer on the town and Illa recomended that everyone have a Rattler. I guess it is a light beer mixed with a lemon lime soda. Quite refreshing! The couple in the back are Jamie and Clark and the Jim and Illa are in the front.
This picture was taken from the bus but I just had to take the picture. We had just drove into Austria and there was this random castle above all these grape vineyards. Beautiful! Wish you sould see this drive in person, the picture dont nearly do the scenery justice.
